POSITION SUMMARY
The Life Safety Sales Representative at Oakley Fire Protection Services plays a crucial role in driving the company’s business growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding existing client relationships. Based in Richmond, VA, this full-time, travel-based role involves engaging with clients across commercial, industrial, and multi-family markets to offer comprehensive fire protection solutions, including inspections, service contracts, retrofits, and system installations.

OBJECTIVES
● Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals set by the company.
● Consistently generate a specific number of new leads each month to ensure a robust pipeline of business opportunities.
● Secure a target number of new client contracts each quarter to expand the company’s market reach.
● Maintain high retention rates by ensuring existing customers renew their service contracts annually.
● Increase revenue from existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling additional services and products.
● Penetrate new market segments or geographical areas as outlined in the company’s strategic growth plans.
● Conduct a defined number of client consultations per month to assess needs and present tailored solutions.
● Ensure all client proposals are accurate, timely, and effectively meet the needs outlined during consultations.
● Achieve high customer satisfaction ratings through excellent service delivery, regular communication, and timely resolution of client issues.
● Engage in all training programs provided by the company to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
● Fully comply with all industry regulations and company policies during sales processes and client interactions.
● Maintain up-to-date records of all customer interactions, opportunities, and transactions in the company’s CRM system to ensure data integrity and usability.
COMPETENCIES
● Proven ability to close deals and achieve sales quotas in a B2B environment.
● Understanding of fire protection systems, NFPA codes, and industry-specific regulations.
● Ability to build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with clients.
● Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to clearly convey information and persuade stakeholders.
● Proficiency in negotiating terms and closing deals that are favorable to both the company and the client
● Ability to identify challenges and quickly develop effective solutions, particularly in client consultations and contract negotiations.
● Comfort with CRM software, quoting tools, and the technical aspects of fire safety systems.
● Capability to develop strategic approaches to penetrate new markets and grow existing accounts.
● Strong capacity to manage multiple accounts and priorities efficiently without compromising quality or deadlines.
● Flexibility to adapt to new challenges, different client needs, and evolving industry conditions.
● High level of self-motivation and drive to meet and exceed performance targets.
● Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in proposals, contracts, and client communications.
